Even though Papa promises to improve the standard of living of Papa-Nnukwu if he converts to Christianity, the old man refuses.Ĭontrastingly, Aunty Ifeoma is a more liberal Catholic. His strict doctrines are imposed on his family and they are punished when they falter.
